Terms and Conditions for Website, Template, and Theme Use

Last Updated: February 8, 2025

1. Service Scope

Tekie Hosting offers a showcase of over 300 websites, templates, and themes through demosite101.com, designed to illustrate the potential and capabilities available to our hosting clients. These serve as a reference for clients selecting a design for their hosting plan. Website setup and branding require a separate design fee, which varies based on the level of customization and service plan.

Clients on fully managed service plans have access to over 80 premium themes with advanced features and dedicated support. These themes are available only under managed plans and are maintained by Tekie Hosting as part of the service.

2. Licensing and Usage

Clients using themes and templates from Demosite101.com as part of our hosting service must remain on Tekie Hosting to retain access to licensed features. If a client transfers hosting to another provider, all licenses for themes, templates, and additional software will be deactivated. Reactivation under a new provider requires purchasing new licenses independently.

3. Managed Services

Fully managed service clients receive ongoing software updates, backups, security enhancements, and technical support to ensure their websites remain operational and optimized. Premium themes available under managed service plans provide enhanced design and functionality.

4. Self-Managed Service Responsibilities

Clients on self-managed hosting plans are responsible for maintaining their own websites, including software updates and troubleshooting. We are not liable for site malfunctions or conflicts resulting from unmanaged software changes. Self-managed hosting includes cPanel access for manual site restorations. Technical support for self-managed clients is available at an additional service charge. If technical support is required to fix broken sites, additional service charges will apply. Limited support is included for issues related specifically to the hosting service itself.

5. Third-Party Licensing

Our themes and templates, sourced from industry-leading partners, are managed under specific conditions to ensure optimal performance. This includes a commitment to handle updates and maintain compliance with current technological standards, particularly for those themes included in our managed services. Themes and templates may be licensed under agreements with third-party developers. Tekie Hosting manages these licenses under specific terms to ensure compliance. Clients under managed service plans benefit from our licensing and update management, while self-managed clients must purchase and maintain their own licenses if they choose to migrate their site elsewhere.

6. Updates and Continuity

We ensure that all digital assets provided under managed service plans are updated for security, performance, and feature enhancements. Clients are encouraged to maintain their hosting with Tekie Hosting to receive continuous access to updated versions of templates and themes. If an asset becomes outdated or unsupported, clients may be required to migrate to a new design at an additional fee.

7. Future-Proofing and Support

Tekie Hosting is dedicated to providing digital assets that are not only robust but also supported by a team committed to maintaining high standards of functionality and security. As the digital landscape evolves, these assets may need updates or replacements to remain viable and secure. Tekie Hosting is committed to providing secure and reliable website solutions. As industry standards evolve, certain themes or templates may require modifications to remain functional. Clients should anticipate periodic site updates to align with current web technologies.

Changes to Terms and Licensing

Tekie Hosting reserves the right to modify or update these terms and our licensing arrangements at any time to reflect changes in our service offerings, compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, or our operational practices. We encourage clients to regularly review the updated terms on our website at demosite101.com and tekie.io/legal/terms-of-service/ to stay informed of any changes.

1. Service Cancellation or Migration: Upon cancellation of services or if a client migrates their services to another provider, all licenses for third-party software will be deactivated. Clients will need to contact third-party providers directly to obtain new licenses.

2. Managed Services: For clients under fully managed service plans, we maintain all software licenses. If a client terminates their services or fails to make payments beyond the grace period specified in our policies on tekie.io, their licenses will be deactivated. Licenses can be reactivated upon restoration of payments. Accounts not restored past the grace period will be terminated in accordance with our policies.

3. License Maintenance: We maintain the licenses for all software, regardless of whether a client is on a self-managed or fully managed hosting plan. Clients on must acquire independent licenses if they wish to leave Tekie Hosting and continue to receive software updates, and maintain certain functionality upon migrating their website to their new provider.

4. Compliance and Use: Further details on the use and restrictions of our services are covered under the Acceptable Use Policy, which can be referenced at tekie.io/legal/terms-of-service/.

Changes will be effective upon posting to the relevant websites, and we may use standard communication channels such as email or announcements on our website to inform clients of significant updates. Continued use of our services and websites following any changes published on our websites will constitute acceptance of the new terms.
